I have been with FCPD for 25 years. I started as a Reserve Officer in 1985, was a Community Service Officer from 1987-1989 and Police Officer from 1989-present. I spent 13 yrs as a K-9 Officer and handled 3 K-9's (Hans, Malakai and Rex). I spent 18 yrs in SWAT (K-9, Entry and Sniper). My current assignment is with the Traffic Unit. And after all this time I still love working with all the great people at FCPD. I have been the FCPD Trustee for the past 2 years and have been a Lodge 3 member since 1989. My hobbies are mostly hunting/fishing. My wife and kids are the love of my life!

Greetings from your Treasurer. I am Leroy Forehand, I have been with Fort Collins Police Department since January 19, 1981. I have been an F.O.P. member since February 18, 1986. I have been your treasurer since 1995 with 2 years off and then right back to it.
This is the fourth job that I have had. The first was when I was 14 and I delivered papers for the Denver Post for about six months and realized that the Sunday paper was never going to get smaller. I could only carry 12 at a time on my bike. I then went to work delivering papers for the Coloradoan. One of my customers was the manager of King Soopers. He told me that when I turned 16, he would give me a "real job". I spent the next fourteen years with King's working my way up from Sacker to Checker, to Head Clerk, Assistant Department Head and finally to Department Head of General Merchandise.
In 1981, I got tired of climbing that ladder and went to work at F.C.P.D. Except for seven years in the traffic unit, which were the best years I have had, I have been in our Patrol section with no desire to ever be in management again.
